Lorenzo Sonego's hopes of reaching
his first Grand Slam semi-final at this year's Australian Open
are over after the Italian lost 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 to American
Ben Shelton in the last eight on Wednesday.
In the semis Shelton, the 21st seed, will face the winner of the
match between Italy's world number one Jannik Sinner and home
favourite Alex De Minaur.
