The Italian Ambassador in Zagreb, Paolo Trichilo, spoke at the opening of the event "Fashion Destination Italy 2025", organised by the local ICE Office, within the framework of the "Days of Italian Fashion in the World", recently launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The initiative - which was attended by Italian companies operating in the clothing, footwear and leather sector and companies from Croatia and other countries in the region - presented Italian products and explored business opportunities in the Croatian market and the Balkan area, while promoting the quality that distinguishes Italian fashion.
In his speech, the Ambassador emphasised the importance of the sector, which is among the top Italian exports, generates a turnover of over 100 billion euros and employs over half a million workers in 62,000 companies. He also illustrated the aims of the 'Days of Italian Fashion in the World', aimed at promoting Italian fashion as a vehicle for development, creativity and innovation.
