The President of the Islamic Community in the Republic of North Macedonia, Reis Ulema ef. Shaqir Fetai, today received the new Italian ambassador Paolo Palminteri, to whom he presented the objectives and activities of this spiritual organisation.
During the meeting,' the embassy reported in a note, 'the fundamental role of the Muslim community in promoting interreligious dialogue and its commitment to the country's growth was emphasised. The large Muslim component of the Macedonian diaspora in Italy was also mentioned, with reference to its excellent integration into the Italian social fabric.
