A man has been arrested in the Tuscan
city of Prato for allegedly sexually abusing two young women,
one of whom is a minor, while he was undertaking volunteer work,
investigative sources said Tuesday, without identifying the
suspect.
The State Attorney's office in Prato led by Luca Tescaroli
requested the arrest warrant, presumably on the grounds that the
man could flee or tamper with the evidence.
Prato prosecutors said in a statement that the man is accused of
sexually abusing "two young women, including a minor, taking
advantage of their condition of mental and physical
inferiority".
The probe was carried out by the Prato police flying squad and
municipal police.
