British Prime Minister Keir Starmer
told visiting Premier Giorgia Meloni in London Sunday that
Britain and UK have a similar approach to the problems facing
the world.
"We have a very similar approach on the important issues that
the world is facing at the moment," Starmer told Meloni in
Downing Street, at the start of their bilateral meeting.
"It is fantastic to have you here at a crucial moment", added
Starmer, who had received the Italian Prime Minister in front of
the door of Number 10 with smiles, handshakes and an exchange of
kisses on the cheeks:
"You are very welcome".
Sir Keir then recalled his recent visit to Rome, underlining the
traditional bond between Italy and the United Kingdom and their
"close positions on the economy, immigration and security".
