The Italian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Paolo Palminteri, met with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance, Arben Fetai.
"I congratulated the ambassador on his new assignment and wished him a successful mandate," Fetai said, as reported in a note by the Embassy. "I expressed gratitude for Italy's continued support for the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU and for the excellent cooperation between our countries at all levels," he added. "I also thanked Ambassador Palminteri for the very important assistance provided by Italy with the treatment of patients injured in the tragedy in Kocani.
We agreed to work together to further deepen this fruitful cooperation, with a focus on anti-corruption policies, financial investigations and confiscation of illegally acquired assets".
