Marc Marquez of the Ducati factory
team continued his early-season dominance by winning the MotoGP
sprint race at the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas,
on Saturday.
Marquez's teammate, Italy's two-time MotoGP world champion
Francesco Bagnaia, was third while his brother Alex Marquez of
the BK8 Gresini Racing team was second to make for an all-Ducati
podium.
The Spanish six-time MotoGP champion will start Sunday's main
event in pole position after notching the fastest time in
qualifying on Saturday.
Marc Marquez also started in pole position for the first two
Grands Prix of the season and won them both, along with the
sprint races.
