Premier Giorgia Meloni met Meta Chief
Global Affairs Officer Joel Kaplan at the premier's office at
Palazzo Chigi in Rome on Thursday, the government said in a
statement.
The encounter was held "as part of a series of meetings aimed at
discussing issues related to the technological transition and
the development of artificial intelligence," the statement said.
"Among the items on the agenda was the possibility of enhancing
the value of existing activities in Italy and exploring new
investment opportunities".
